明確守玄的方法   玄關重重的感覺 


How to sense the feeling of concentrating on the Wisdom Door?

‧二個可以明確守玄,凝聚度到達50%程度以上。


There are two specific ways to concentrate. They can help us to focus on the Wisdom Door at a very condensed level of 50% or more.


‧複習點道二個動作。

如果你不確定什麼是守玄,或不知道什麼是守玄的感覺,有一個簡單的方法可以立刻體驗感受守玄。


If you are not sure what concentrating on the Wisdom Door means, or you don’t understand how it feels, there is a simple way for you to sense it.


守玄的感覺與方法:feelings and methods to concentrate on the wisdom door.


1、將手掌張開掌心漸漸靠近玄關,


        Open your hand and make your palm close to the Wisdom Door.


2、直接用手指輕碰玄關,


        Use the finger to touch the Wisdom Door gently.




1、手掌張開掌心漸漸靠近玄關,逼近玄關時玄關可以感受到掌心的熱,同時


    玄關也會有一種重重的感覺。若還沒有感覺,可以將手掌在靠近玄關處,由 


    遠而近、由近而遠,前後移動,逼近玄關,再後退,再逼近玄關,反覆幾次


    一定可以感覺到守玄。


When our palm is getting closer and closer to the Wisdom Door, it can feel the heat of the center of our palm. Meanwhile, our Wisdom Door will feel a little heavy as if there is a magnetic field around. If you dont have these feelings, you can move your palm from farther to near the Wisdom Door or vise versa in front of the Wisdom Door. Repeat the process several times, and you are sure to feel it.


2、直接用手指輕碰玄關,不能太用力,輕輕的將指尖碰觸玄關,玄關會有感覺,


    那種感覺有人覺得是微麻、有人覺得是重量、有人形容像磁鐵的磁力…總之  


    不同於平日沒有守玄。


Use your finger to touch the Wisdom Door directly but gently. If we touch it with the tip of our finger, the Wisdom Door will have the same feeling as mentioned above. Some may feel numb, some may feel heavy, and others may describe it as the magnetic power like magnets. In a word, our Wisdom Door may have different feelings from other time when we don’t concentrate.


這個方法也可以提供在教導別人用三寶,卻困擾於不知如何教人守玄,也無法知道對方究竟有沒有體會到守玄的感受?後學常用這方法來輔導第一次修持三寶的道親。


This method can also be used to instruct others to use the Three Treasures. If you are troubled by the ways how to teach them or by the fact whether others have concentrated in the right way, this will be a good method especially suitable and useful for the beginners.


複習求道時的「明師一指」review the initiation ceremony.


事實上這二個動作都是複習點道,求道儀式中點傳師有二個動作和玄關有關,一個是點道時在我們的玄關點一下,另一個動作是走到我們旁邊,用手掌迫近我們的玄關,然後說:「知主保無恙」。


In fact, these two methods are both to review the initiation. In the ceremony, our master has two movements related to the Wisdom Door. The first is to point out our Wisdom Door. After that, he will use his palm to move closer to our Wisdom Door.


我們藉這二個動作複習求道時的凝聚守玄,求道時每一個人大概都茫茫然不知道在做什麼,現在大家已經知道三寶的珍貴,可以用這個方式來幫助我們守玄。


Here we review these two movements to learn concentrating. We might not understand the meaning of the initiation when we took the Tao. Since we all understand the value of the Three Treasures, we can use these methods to help us concentrate.


不論是用手指輕觸玄關或是用手掌迫近玄關,都可以立刻達到高純度的收心效果。


No matter which way you are using: touching the Wisdom Door with the finger or using our palm to get close to it, we can achieve very high-leveled concentration immediately.


實例:

有一位坤道因婚姻問題加上養育子女的重量、身體健康狀況…多重壓力造成她重度憂鬱。她說她已經連續五、六年,每天晚上無法停止哭泣。


One female Tao member had the problem of melancholy because of many troubles and pressure in children raising, health problems and career. She had kept weeping in the night for five or six years. 


以前還可以強忍自我克制,現在已經瀕臨崩潰,說著就在佛堂嚎啕痛哭起來。她問:「怎麼辦?三歲的孩子睡著了說夢話都說:媽媽別哭。」


At first, she could try to control her sadness. Finally, she was out of control and cried out loud in the temple. She said, “What can I do? My child, who is only three years old, also keeps telling me not to cry in his dream.”


後學無法解決她的婚姻、工作…問題,只能教她如何安定痛苦的心。教她守玄來降服心理的妄念及痛苦,怕她心太亂不知道什麼是守玄,所以教她這個方法,將手掌迫近玄關,她立刻有「玄關有一種重重的壓力感」,但是說:「這種感覺不太舒服。」


I had no better ways to solve any of her problems. I could only teach her how to settle down her painful heart and how to concentrate on the Wisdom Door to free her heart from suffering. I taught her the above two methods. When she used her palm to get close to the Wisdom Door, she felt the heavy pressure in front right away. However, such kind of feeling didn’t make her feel comfortable. 


後學說:「就像生病去看醫生治療,也會不舒服,但是這種不舒服是可以治病的。藥沒有好吃的,重要的是能不能治病?所以不要管不舒服的感覺,如果可以讓妳脫離沮喪絕望、身心崩潰,就是良藥。平時隨時保持這種守玄的重量感覺,就是在療癒。」


I told her, “When we go to the doctor for healing our disease, we may feel uncomfortable too. But such a feeling can heal our illness. It is important that whether the medicine can cure you illness. If it can free you from desperation, frustration, or melancholy, it will be the right medicine. If you can maintain the heavy feeling of the Wisdom Door, you will be on the way to recover.”


就這樣她開始每天用這個方法守玄,時時提醒自己將心收到玄關,而且凝聚到有重重的感覺。從開始的那一天,就不再哭泣,至今已經一個月了,再次見到她時開朗多了,問她近況,她說:「一切問題困擾都依然存在,難關都沒有解決,但不知道為什麼不再那麼痛苦。」漸漸的走出了憂鬱。


She kept using this method to concentrate and remind herself to focus on her Wisdom Door every day. She also made sure she had the heavy feeling as I told her. From that day on, she stopped crying. When I saw her again a month later, she was much happier. She said, “All my troubles and problems are still there and left unsolved. However, after using the Three Treasures, I felt they were not so painful as before.” Gradually, she recovered from melancholy.


守玄要抓到「心收回來」的質感。


Catch the feeling of mind returning.


守玄如果要治病,無論身病或心病,一定要守到玄關有感覺的程度。


If we aim to heal our diseases by concentrating on the Wisdom Door, we must have different feelings from those as usual.


一般人若把守玄當休閒,用來幫助睡眠、放鬆心情,那麼只要心念想到玄關,就已經達到些許程度的守玄。


In a casual way, everyone can focus on his Wisdom Door to help sleeping or relax. All that he needs to do is to think of his Wisdom Door, and then he will make it to some extent.


但若要治病就不能只是如此,一定要守到玄關有覺受,什麼覺受?重重的、暈眩、惟恍惟惚、深遠幽靜…這種覺受出現就表示我們生命的電池在充電了。


However, a man who hopes to heal his illness must have different feelings on his Wisdom Door. It’s kind of being dizzy, serene, and peaceful. With such feelings on the Wisdom Door, our life is being recharged.


這堂課提供的二個方法可以讓每個人都感受到50%以上程度的守玄。


These two methods can easily make everyone feel how to concentrate to the degree of 50% or above.


就像火的熱度,一根火柴的熱可以燃燒一張紙片,但溶解鋼鐵就不是一根火柴所能辦到的。我們的疾病尤其是重病,就像鋼鐵一樣堅硬,要用火力強的、凝聚力高的、純度夠的守玄,才能夠瓦解融化疾病於無形。


Just like the heat of fire. The heat of one single match can burn a piece of paper, but it can not melt steel or iron. Our diseases, especially serious ones, are as hard as steel or iron. Therefore, it is necessary to have highly-focused concentration to melt those diseases away.


這二個方法可以讓每一個人感受到50%以上的守玄。


守玄,是一個絕對有效的調身、調心法,只要下定決心去守,一次、二次…


一定會有覺受。這二個方法可以提供有決心要守玄,卻不知如何守玄的道親,一個簡單可以立刻有感覺的方法。


Concentrating on the Wisdom Door is an absolutely effective way to adjust body and mind. Once we are determined to do it, we will make it after trying. These two methods are given for those Tao members who determine to concentrate but don’t know how.


 



回答關於守玄的幾個問題


1、守玄想睡問:一守玄就想睡覺是不是守錯方法?


Q:  守玄,會想睡覺,這是常見的問題。是不是有錯誤?要視個人不同狀況而定。


    有幾種原因:


一:過勞,過度勞累或過度勤勞。


二:失眠,平常睡不好。


三:業力造成昏沉。


一、過勞 Being exhausted or working too hard.


有些人守玄想睡,是因為他的身體需要睡眠,而他卻沒有給身體睡眠。所以一守玄就想睡,那是啟動身體的本能也是修復的本能。


臺灣人的勤儉觀念有時把人逼得很慘,最常見的就是「勤勞」的觀念,勤勞固然很好,但是過度勤勞,把休息、睡覺當成罪惡,有時讓許多人的身體永遠呈現在疲勞、睡眠不足的狀態。


除了勤儉的觀念以外,道親的「天時緊急」觀念,也是一個逼迫道親不敢休息的因素,休息就覺得自己怠惰,總是要不停的忙於道務,甚至到身體負荷過重。這種狀況下,守玄想睡覺是彌勒祖師在為我們催眠,再不睡健康就要亮紅燈了。


其實適當的、充分的睡眠不僅不會妨礙辦道,反而可以更有效率、更有智慧的辦天事。睡眠不足或過於勞累,不論情緒、智慧、體能…都處於不佳狀態,不是最佳的辦道常態,偶而還好,長期如此絕對無益於道務。


二、失眠、憂鬱症:Insomnia, melancholy


平時睡不著或很淺睡的人,要吃安眠藥的人、有憂鬱症的人…一守玄,身心就會調整到最急需的狀態。


憂鬱、失眠的人,身心最需要的不是智慧、慈悲…而是睡飽。


一位長期失眠,要靠安眠藥睡覺的道親告訴後學,現在只要一守玄,立刻就能入睡,不需要吃安眠藥。


過勞、虛弱、淺睡、憂鬱…這些人,睡眠是最好的藥。但偏偏這些人往往對睡覺有罪惡感,守玄想睡更覺得自己懶散。


其實睡覺是人類最好的醫療,動物生病或受傷時都會找一個安全的地方睡覺,好多天不吃東西,慢慢身體就自動復原。我們人類也應有這種本能,卻用思想遏阻我們的本能,強迫自己即使需要睡眠卻仍不停的工作、讀書、玩樂,日以繼夜,直到健康亮紅燈,躺在醫院時,才能有時間、有理由好好的睡一覺。


醫學認為睡眠時腦中會分泌生長激素、血清張素、腎上腺素等,生長激素除會讓小孩子長大外,也會修補大人的身體細胞損傷,因此「該睡就要睡」。睡飽醒來時是心智警覺的高峰,不論學習、修持都是最佳狀況。


所以守玄想睡,有時是因為身體在告訴我們:「我需要睡眠。」這時就好好享受一下守玄睡覺的香沉、修復。等到身心都修復道一個程度時,自然守玄就不會想睡。


三、業力造成昏沉。


守玄想睡,另外一個原因和前面二個相反,有些人太散漫,心無法集中。平日就常處於昏沉散漫,當然一守玄就陷入昏沉。


如果平時沒有失眠,也沒有過勞,一守玄就想睡,表示你是太散漫易昏沉,平常不動腦筋,常處於昏沉,守玄時習性會浮現,一守玄就想睡。


這時要提醒自己不要閉眼守玄,連七分閉、八分閉…都不要,平視前方或看佛燈,堅持守玄,去除昏沉。


剛開始可能還是會睡著,只要堅持修持,慢慢昏沉的業力消除,就不會一守玄就想睡。


2、問:玄關式呼吸和一般呼吸有什麼不同?


答:我們時時刻刻都在呼吸,玄關式呼吸和一般呼吸不同有二點:


1、玄關式呼吸時,知道自己是在吸氣還是呼氣


2、吸氣時,玄關有重重的感覺;呼氣時玄關也有重重的感覺。


3、玄關式呼吸時,妄念較少,一般呼吸時妄念不斷。


3、問:一般的靜坐或打坐也是讓心靜下來,玄關式呼吸有什麼不一樣?


答:玄關式呼吸確實也是在除去妄念,以一般人的說法就是讓心靜下來。如果靜坐或打坐也能達到很好的效果我們就不必另外傳這種玄關呼吸直接去打坐就好了,一般的打作或靜坐如果沒有很好的上師,是坐不出什麼結果的,台灣有一個很有名的靜坐中心一進去就坐十天什麼都沒敎你,有人坐不到一天就要抓狂。


為什麼無法在打坐中靜下來?


如果把我們的心比喻成一頭牛,一頭如西班牙奔牛節的牛,一放出圍欄就四處狂奔。而我們想要徒手把這狂奔的牛抓住,是不可能的,但是如果能夠在牛鼻子上套一個銅環,從這個環來牽制牛,牛就只好慢慢的聽話,玄關就像牛的鼻孔上的銅環,是一個可以制住我們狂奔的心牛的一個關鍵點,如再加上無字真經就更能馴服這頭心牛了。


如果光是打坐而沒有玄關這個牛繩,就像用一張網子把牛網住,不讓牠動,希望這樣牛可以安靜下來。牛被網住是限制了牠不能動,但一定掙扎著要脫離網子,所以動得更厲害,不能安靜下來。



 

問:守玄時為什麼有頭暈、頭重的感覺?不是很舒服。


答:這不是壞事,反而是好現象,如孟子滕文公篇說:「藥不暝眩,厥疾不瘳。」


意思是說:「一種藥如果服用以後,沒有暈眩的感覺,那表示疾病沒有根除。」


孟子在滕文公篇裡,舉書經裡的一段話:「藥不暝眩,厥疾不瘳。」來譬喻修道的過程中,會經歷頭暈或昏昏欲睡的狀況出現,


「一個人如果生了重病,藥物治療要發生效果的話,就會產生暈眩的生理狀態,如果沒有暈眩的狀況出現,疾病不會痊癒。」


以醫學角度來看,這種暈眩,是大腦呈現α波或θ波時在修復、自我療癒的反應-暈眩或昏昏欲睡的現象。


不僅是身病,心病也一樣,修道是要治心病,心中的貪慾,焦慮、緊張要從心靈深處拔除,也會有這種暈眩的感覺。


比方憂鬱症是一個典型的心病,有不只一位道親告訴後學,他們憂鬱症發作時只要守玄,守出暈眩的感覺,經過十幾分鐘以後,完全不必吃藥,憂鬱就消失。


除了身病或憂鬱症,我們還是可以藉著這種守玄的眩暈,來對治我們的負面情緒,當憤怒、緊張、貪婪、忌妒…出現時,如果我們能夠守玄,守到暈眩,負面的、邪惡的心靈狀態就會被驅逐出我們心中。


以佛法來說,這種現象就是一種清除「阿賴耶識」裡的業習種子的作用。


玄奘大師在「八識規矩頌」裡有提到:「金剛道後異熟空」


所謂「金剛道」最後一心,就是「一心不亂」而且像金剛一樣堅固銳利可以摧破深重業障。


我們的阿賴耶識裡的異熟種子,也就是業識種子要淨除,必須進入金剛道,進入金剛道最後一心,就會有恍惚、暈眩的感受。


並不是守玄一定要去追求那種感覺,守玄不暈眩時有時也有很好的境界覺受,但如果出現這種暈眩時不要因而停止,要繼續下去。
